Frozen yogurt chain cools a hot LoLo market

While the spring equinox is here, it is still very cold outside! But the brisk cool airs have not stopped denizens of Lower Lonsdale (or 'LoLo' in local slang) from lining the frigid streets outside Menchie's Frozen Yogurt new LoLo parlour. Bundled up in scarves and puffy coats, families, kids and couples alike could be seen gathered around the colorful display of flavours and toppings. Created in 2007 in Los Angeles, a more logical place to enjoy frozen yogurt, the history of Menchise reads like a classic romance movie script. Husband and wife duo, Adam and Danna Caldwell’s first date was at a frozen yogurt store.  There are countless flavours and creative toppings to choose from as well as gluten-free, vegan, and low-fat options, providing a delicious treat for everyone.  The cold doesn’t appear to be scaring away Vancouverites from their icy cold desserts and is becoming a typical LoLo hang out after soccer games or a great place to take a break from Lonsdale’s steep incline. With seven locations in the Lower Mainland and two more opening soon, Menchies is taking Vancouver by cone. To learn more about Menchies, please visit their website,
